We Heart Andalusia
Bácor-Olivar is a Spanish province of Granada, next to the Negratín Reservoir. It is part of the municipality of Guadix.
It is in the proximity to the north the Sierra de Castril , Sierra de la Sagra and Sierra de Cazorla , to the east the Sierra de Lúcar, Sierra de Orce, Sierra de Umbria and Sierra de María and to the south the Sierra de Baza.
The landscape of the population, Malpais style , with its ravines and hills, is determined by the facades and terraces of these houses and, above all, by its chimneys that dot any street of it.
It has curious rock formations sculpted by erosion that resemble a lunar landscape.
La Vega de Bácor, in the Ribera del Guadiana Menor , is a good area to cultivate a large number of products.
The caves are still the most widespread type of housing (around 75% of total households).
