Good Morning/Evening, Friends.
- Apologies, the draft was sent by mistake and it should have auto-sent in the morning! - Sorry about that! - It also seems that the email program doesn’t like to keep the design aspect, so it’s been posted here instead!
We will be opening our doors again, soon!
May 15th is what we’ve been told. Yippee!! 😁
If you're outside of our local province though, you'll have to wait until end of June to travel to us. If you're not in Spain you'll have to wait for the restrictions to lift, and that date we aren’t sure of just yet, unfortunately.
Hopefully from the 25th of June we can operate as normal. Fingers crossed!
Existing bookings - Are in the diary, and unless they have been re-scheduled until a later date due to the restrictions.
New bookings 15 May – 24 June- Guests from local provinces (not national territories)
We will have a maximum 4 Guests
2 guests in the cave house and 2 in the annex.
Pool area is closed until the regulation has been lifted.
We are taking bookings now. Register your interest now as the spaces and accommodations are filling up fast! 😀
Last season was a great success! A special thank you to all that helped Project Cueva Mariposa in our first year, however small or large part that was. 🙏 ❤️🦋 Again, thank you.
So much was completed within our first year, and before we became a host too! It’s been a tough year, but most memorable. With the love and help of many kind souls we have reached the second stage of the project. Renovstions can start this summer.
There will be a “story” and some before and after pictures added to our website in the next couple of weeks. Make sure you keep up!
Come and be apart of this seasons story and help us create The Sanctuary and maintain The Bio Gardens, come and be part of our beautiful Community in the heart of the Andalusian mountains.
We especially need Builders this year, Carpenters, Electricians, As well as gardeners and house help are all welcome.
Check out our website for more information and how we do things.
Our Website is being created everyday. We changed host recently and now we need to update everything from scratch, But the basics are there. Head over and become a member and join in the fun!
But in short, We are registered with a few skills exchange, helper sites and they all offer a similar deal. We offer a Help Exchange Program. We have decided to not use the word “Volunteer/s” anymore. The simple reason being is that its not voluntary. It’s an exchange. We have had a few helpers last season that thought it’s a form of free travel and a good spot for getting wasted, It is not that experience for the hosts I can assure you.
We have also decided not to host anyone under the age of 25. And ALL guests must have their own insurance or sign a waiver. So before you decide if you want to come and stay with us, be prepared to also work for your night of accommodation and daily three meals.
As well as having lots of fun, you’ll making a big difference to our projects and everyones experience for those that uses our site.
Thank you in advance for you valued dedication to our project. Without your support it will take us a lifetime to get to where we want to be.
We are an Eco Project.
We live within our means. With nature, not against it. We use what is around us, reuse and recycle. The Bio-Garden project has already begun. This year alone we have harvested Salad, Broad Beans, Onions, Garlic, Spinach, Broccoli and Kale. We have plans for chickens in the coming weeks, fresh eggs!! Check it out for yourselves!
We are a Spiritual Sanctuary.
We offer holistic treatments, therapies and workshops. These are limited at the moment as we are still in talks with practitioners and creating the spaces needed. We will keep you posted with all updates as and when these will take place. As always, keep checking out our online message boards.
We once a month gift our help to our community, we help those that can’t help themselves or those that just simply need it, we do little tidy-ups between our villages.
Living and working experience.
We have some modern conveniences - WiFi, washing mashing, guest computer/study area, and pool that can all be used in your free time.
We work on a weekly timetable. Monday to Friday. leaving the weekend free for full time staff to have their time off. Exceptions can be made in advance, but we prefer to stick to our plans. It is also when public transport is available.
The Exchange is offered per person, per head, per night of accommodation and three healthy meals per day. Wether you’re a group or a couple.
Daily / Weekly
Monday to Friday 6 hours per day split into Am and PM activities, as it’s too hot to work all day.
Full Time and Long Term
7 Days and Nights. Please contact for further information. These spaces are limited and some costs maybe incurred.
Group activities are available at the end of each day and our Workshops are offered at the weekend. Helpers are welcome to book and attend these at an amazing discount. Most are free anyway!
We do not have regular funding, or a regular income at the moment, so any donations are greatly appreciated and help us to make our dream a reality, for all that will use Cueva Mariposa, now and in the future. From the Holistic services that we will offer, such as Reiki, Tarot, we will also host an all inclusive Art Holiday package. we can earn a little to be able to fund Project Cueva Mariposa. It’s not about profit, it’s about sharing.
Any donations we receive go straight back in to our projects. Your name on our donation list, and where that donation went. And a gift from us to you, to show our appreciation. If you are able to help Financially in anyway please follow the link below.
There are many ways in which you can help, spreading the word! Contact us to see how you can make a difference to Project Cueva m
We hope that you haven’t been badly effected or had too much of a difficult time with the coronavirus and lockdown, and that you are safe and well, ready to get out there again. We are!
We look forward to welcoming you soon.
